I was wondering how tall you guys were and what you started out at and ended up at... My mom was like 5 foot 1 and lost 130... Now she weighs 120. I was wondering if I am 5 foot 6 and around 280/290 what I would prob be after surgery... I just want an idea...

I am 5'4" tall. I have lost 111 pounds in 9 months. I am hoping to get to my goal of 150. I would really love to be 135, but I think 150 is more achievable for me, and I would be happy to be there.

Hi Megan, I am 2 1/2 years out and have lost 168 pds. I am 5 foot 5. My family doctor says I should gain alittle weight . Dr Lindsay says I am fine.  I weight 136 now. She says every person is different so keep that in mind. I feel great and glad I had this done. I do things now that I thought I would never get to do.

Hi,  I'm 5'3" , 58, and started at 271#.I have lost 121 #, have a lg. frame, wear sizes 12-14 and am maintaining my weight currently for 3 months. Just remember~ each person is differant- their exercise;age; body type; excess skin; health; etc. etc. etc!!! Let your Dr. work with you on reaching your goal.  I've seen time after time where people have unreasonable "goal weights" in mind & set themselves up for health and emotional eating problems. This is just a TOOL, and one of many to direct you on your journey to recovery. Attend support groups, go to social meetings with other people who have had or are considering surgery, search other all the benifets and drawbacks of surgery, and follow your Dr's. advice.   I love the support and encouragement I recieve here from the people who  understand what I am feeling, going thru, and needing to do to use the TOOLS OF SURGERY TO BECOME THE PERSON I WAS MEANT TO BE. (((hugs))) Ellen

I'm 5' 8 1/2", started at 266 (was 290 at one time then I stopped weighing myself).  I have lost 106 pounds and am at goal (!) in 10 months.  I'm wearing sizes 6 & 8.

I can eat as much as I want...I just don't want much.
I'm ashamed of what I did for a Klondike bar...
